Fettler — Kenai Peninsula Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
