Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The role involves: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
