Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Sibley County, Minnesota. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Day-to-day duties: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
