Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Perry County, Indiana. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
