Port container crane operator • Greene County, Alabama

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Greene County, Alabama. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. On the job you will handle: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Strong attention to safety and load limits • A good head for heights for tower crane work Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
