Now hiring: we are hiring a spray painter (automotive) in Oconee County, South Carolina. The job is in an automotive paint and panel workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio • Blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair • Set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish • Sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper Ideal candidate: • Keen attention to detail and a steady hand • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
