Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Keokuk County, Iowa. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding.
