Gantry crane operator wanted in Jim Hogg County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Jim Hogg County, Texas. You will be based on a busy construction site. Day to day you will read and interpret the load chart before every lift; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
