Horticulturist wanted in Linn County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horticulturist in Linn County, Missouri. You will be based at a landscaping company. Day-to-day duties: • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
