Vacancy available: we are hiring a furniture maker in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. Ideal candidate: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists The role involves: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $230 per day plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
