Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Indian River County, Florida. You will be based on a commercial construction site. Your main tasks: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
