Immediate opening: we are hiring a carpenter in Beaufort County, South Carolina. You will be based on a busy construction site. The role involves: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours Ideal candidate: • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Rotating shifts.
