Formwork erector — Torfaen County Borough

Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork erector in Torfaen County Borough, Wales. You will work at an infrastructure construction site. Your main tasks: • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints You should have: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Part-time with flexible hours.
