We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Upson County, Georgia. The job is on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Your main tasks: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
