Counter butcher • Franklin County, Mississippi

Vacancy available: we are hiring a counter butcher in Franklin County, Mississippi. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
