Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a residential tower block. Day to day you will mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; run load and overload tests with test weights. You should have: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Full-time with occasional weekends.
