Immediate opening: we are hiring a catering cook in Monona County, Iowa. You will work at a roadside dhaba. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen Day-to-day duties: • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Taste and adjust seasoning for consistency At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
