Immediate opening: cement mason (South Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Clay County, South Dakota. The job is at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage The role involves: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish 4+ years on the tools preferred.
