Furnace operator wanted in Moray

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Moray, Scotland. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
