Now hiring: we are hiring a tree and shrub pruner in City of Hopewell, Virginia. Requirements: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Day-to-day duties: • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
