Immediate opening: we are hiring a sausage maker in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. On a typical shift you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. You should have: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate 1+ years on the tools preferred.
