The role involves: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Part-time with flexible hours.
