Reinforcement steel fixer — Hyde County

Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Hyde County, North Carolina. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. What we are looking for: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Your main tasks: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
