Stainless steel welder — Monroe County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Monroe County, Illinois. The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
