Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in San Juan County, Washington. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $4,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
