Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Part-time with flexible hours.
