Day to day you will read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift.
