Reinforcement steel fixer • Denbighshire, Wales

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Denbighshire, Wales. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. On a typical shift you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
