Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Crook County, Oregon. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Full-time, day shift.
