Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Derby, England. Day-to-day duties: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
