Vacancy available: we are hiring a plant operator in New Hanover County, North Carolina. The job is on a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster The role involves: • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
