Immediate opening: we are hiring a VMC operator in Abbeville County, South Carolina. You should have: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Your main tasks: • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors Rotating shifts.
