Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Logan County, Illinois. Day to day you will lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
