Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Christian County, Kentucky. You will work at a residential building site. The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 1+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
