We are recruiting: cold room technician (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a cold room technician in City of Petersburg, Virginia. You will be based at a busy refrigeration workshop. Your main tasks: • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Clean condenser and evaporator coils • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Service split AC units and VRF systems • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts Performance bonus on top of base pay.
