Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish Rotating shifts.
