Fabricator-welder — Milam County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Milam County, Texas. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Own basic hand tools and PPE Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
