You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Your main tasks: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
