Steel fixing chargehand • Ukwa West, Abia State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Ukwa West, Abia State. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) On a typical shift you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. ₦240,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Contact us to fix an interview.
