Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Lincoln County, Nebraska. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles On a typical shift you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists.
