Foundry operative — Ethiope East

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Ethiope East, Delta State. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
