Canteen cook — Cook County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a canteen cook in Cook County, Minnesota. You will be based in a hotel kitchen. On a typical shift you will prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in. You should have: • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies Full-time with occasional weekends.
