Vacancy available: garment machinist (Washington)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in San Juan County, Washington. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Your main tasks: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Six days a week, one day off.
