Vehicle body repairer — Manatee County

Now hiring: we are hiring a vehicle body repairer in Manatee County, Florida. The job is at a commercial fleet workshop. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports Day-to-day duties: • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place • Strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray Six days a week, one day off.
