Machinist — North Northamptonshire

Join our team: we are hiring a machinist in North Northamptonshire, England. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
