Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Jones County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
