Precision welder — Los Angeles County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a precision welder in Los Angeles County, California. You will work on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits.
