Great opportunity: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Lyon County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Part-time with flexible hours.
