Shuttering carpenter • Winn Parish, Louisiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Winn Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a residential housebuilding project. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours Requirements: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
