Pipe tig welder — Burke County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Burke County, North Carolina. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
